Welcome to Hawley-Manning Genealogy. Most of our recent history (mid 1800s to present) occurred in Washington and Lamoille Counties, Vermont, and various cities in Massachusetts. We have traced our Hawley side of the family back to Joseph Hawley who was born in Parwich Township, Derbyshire, England in 1603.

Most of our documented Manning history started around 1849/50 in Lamoille County, VT with Michael Manning, b. abt 1805. Michael and his wife Mary Cleary came from County Cork, Ireland. We believe they traveled on empty cargo ships returning from England and arriving at the Port of Montreal, Canada circa 1845. Prior to Michael and Mary no information is known.

Our goal is to provide and gather family tree history from relatives and friends around the world. Additionally, we will also try to provide pertinent genealogy information to non-related Hawley and Mannings' whenever we can.
