James Willborn Family Cemetery

Directions:
(1) Take Hwy 16 south from San Antonio to Farm Road 476 (about 20 miles from Loop 410).
(2) Turn right on FR 476 and go about .9 miles to Farm Road 2146.
(3) Turn left on FR 2146 and go about 1.1 miles to Amphion Road.
(4) Turn left on Amphion Road and go about .8 miles to end of road.
(5) Turn right on the cemetery access road and go about .8 miles to cemetery.

Inventory of graves was conducted by John Hawley on January 27, 1998.

This inventory was started at the fence line closest to the house. An attempt was made to go by rows, but this was not always possible because of some grave locations. Note 1: There are three homemade "cement" crosses located next to each other (see photo at top of page). These crosses were made by George Wilburn in 1935 and were installed by him and his nephew Edward Willborn. The right hand cross is the grave of Richard Brown Wilburn, the middle cross is the grave of Encarnacion Garcia Wilburn, and the left hand cross is a child of theirs (unknown).

Note 2: This cement cross was also made by George Wilburn and we believe that it also belongs to unknown Wilburn child.

Note 3: "El Duche" Hargraves is buried in one of the unmarked graves. He lived near Rossvile. Don't know his connection to the Willborn's.
