The following legal documents were obtained from the Court House, of Live Oak County, Texas. These documents were drawn up in Yazoo County, Mississippi in 1857 and 1859. Know all men by these present that I Permelia Willborn of the County of Yazoo and the State of Mississippi for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid and for the love an affection which I have for my children and grand children I have this day conveyed and given and do by these present convey and give to A C Willborn, Martha Cheatham, Richard B, Willborn, Elizabeth McNeal, John L. Willborn, James M. Willborn, and the heirs of Ebenezer Willborn, and the heirs of George Willborn, and the heirs of Sarah Philips, all the interest of every kind and description which I may have in and to the estate of my late husband Richard Willborn. It is my full intention by these present to give and convey to my said children and grand children all my interest of every kind and description of which I may have in and to the estate of my late husband Richard Willborn.

In testimony where I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of August, 1859

Power of Attorney

Know all men by these present that we John A Cheatham and Martha H. Cheatham, and Anderson C. Cheatham Willborne, all of the County of Yazoo and State of Mississippi have this day the 13th day of May A.D. constitute and appoint (eligible word) by these present constitute and appoint, J. L. Willborne of the County of Live Oak and State of Texas our known Lawful Agent and Attorney in fact for us in our name to transact all (eligible word) for us in said State of Texas as fully as one ourselves could do if personally present and especially one give him hereby the power and (eligible word) thereto to institute and suit or suits which he may deem necessary to secure for us any interest we may have in the estate of Richard Willborn late of Dewitt County in said State of Texas named deceased. We hereby give and grant unto the said John L. Willborn and said agent and attorney in fact, full and complete authority by these present to transact all our (eligible word) to (eligible word) to receipt for us as fully and completely as we could do ourselves if present. Given under our hand and seal this 13th day of May A.D. 1857.

Before me John M. Hollingsworth Clerk of the Probate Court said County this date personally appeared J. A. Cheatham, A.C. Willborn who acknowledge that they signed sealed and delivered the foregoing letter of Attorney on this day and year and for the purposes therein set forth as their act and deed.

In testimony thereof I hereto set my name and the Seal of said Court of Yazoo City this 13th day of May 1857.
