My name is Irma (Alberghini) McGuff. I accidently ran across your site, looking for information about Renazzo. The Vincent Govoni who was married to Anna Benotti was my mother, Mary Govoni Alberghini's brother. May I tell you, we loved my Aunt Anna, so you can imagine this was a very pleasant surprise to find her name. Some of you might have remembered my sister Alma Alberghini, who unfortunately is now deceased. You do know that Vincent Govoni was also born in Renazzo...& a bit more interesting, the grocery store across the street from the catholic church...was opened & owned by my great-grandfather on my fathers side...his name was Ranieri. As far as I know the store, & buildings are still in the same family . As a young girl my grandmother, Mariarosa Ranieri was sent to the village of Dodece Morelli (sic), to open another grocery store....she married Raphello Alberghini...and this was my father, Louis' parents. Back to the Govoni's...Vincents father was Carlo, and his mother was Laura Ardizonni..both from Renazzo. Dont know if anyone is around to remember any of these people, but I certainly enjoyed your site....
