The Hilburn Cemetery Association was established in April, 1997.  It is the associations hope that the cemetery can be designated as a historical site.  Anyone wishing to join the association or acquire permission to bury someone in the cemetery, must contact:

Note:  One of the unmarked graves belongs to Joseph Hilburn (son of Richardson Hilburn) and he died about 1937.  Information received from Amos Hilburn who attended the funeral when he was 10 years of age.

Although this cemetery is isolated and has only had two burials in the 1990s it is well kept.  This gravesite appears to be about one acre in size.

Remember, some Hilburn relatives are buried in the James Willborn Family Cemetery also located in Poteet.
